Help a Mother Out and San Mateo Public Library are partnering to provide free diapers to the community! Help a Mother Out® works to improve baby and family well being by increasing access to diapers for families in need. We partner with community organizations to provide free diapers.
The Walk-Up Diaper Drive will take place on the Oak Room patio at the San Mateo Public Library’s Main Branch. This patio is located on the side of the building closest to Bank of America. Patrons will be able to enter through the patio door, located next to the parking garage elevator. All driving patrons should park in the San Mateo Public Library parking garage.
Diapers will be available for children ages 0-3 years old, and pre-registration is required. Each child is eligible for 2 cases of diapers.
Our community's health and safety is our number one priority during this challenging time. In an effort to extend services, the San Mateo Public Library is working on expanding in-person programming with strict safety measures.
Participants age 2 and older are required to wear an appropriate face mask, covering their mouth and nose; exception is available for participants "who can show a healthcare professional has advised that wearing a Face Covering may pose a risk to the person wearing the Face Covering for reasons related to physical or mental health, such as an impairment or disability that significantly impacts the person’s ability to safely use a Face Covering."

Should there be a change in the Health Order, Governor's Orders or City Guidelines, our in-person programming may be canceled.
